Well, it does occasionally obscure the balls when they switch to the floor cameras (as shown in the screenshot I posted). I find it particularly distracting when it remains on screen for the floor cameras.

But my main point is why? What does it achieve? Okay, so the score is there for you to see at all times, but it’s never more than a few seconds before they switch back to the main overhead camera anyway.

mcgill vs brecel is an intriguing match for me , not that interested in o sullivan vs wilson , will mcgill's all round game be a bridge to far for the belgian bullet ? i think luca's long potting will need to be decent to take this , wouldn't mind seeing either player lift the trophy on sunday i know thats a fair bit away.
