So ROS has played Georgiou twice and now Hicks twice..... Someone needs to shake the names in the hat a bit harder!!

Just a theory but could it be because the draws are seeded? For some players their ranking positions might not change that much so they tend to get paired together more than if draw was random.

The Grand Prix draw isn't based on the World Rankings though, but after the one season ranking.

As for most other ranking events I think only the seeds 1-32 are in the same place. As opposed to the UK Championship where everybody is seeded based on his ranking, saying #1 meets #128 (or as in this scenario one of the Amateurs) in round one as well as #2 vs. #127 and #64 - #65.

Hello chaps. Ronnie just went in off a long red against vafaei when he was struggling to find any route back to baulk. Is this allowed on purpose?
