It's about time the pros played in proper conditions rather than be constantly pampered with slick cloths and bucket pockets, Zhao couldn't hack it either having to strike it that bit harder. Ronnie was great last night, (just finished watching the recording) Judd didn't do a lot wrong but struggles with his timing in slow conditions so I fancied Ronnie. I wonder why Ronnie fails to find that same focus when he faces Higgins

I think the time has come for that to happen, the signs are good and the law of averages on performances is in his favour too. I've got my fingers crossed anyway!

Ronnie is back at No.3 on the rankings list on wst.tv. I think they got it wrong yesterday.

Table conditions are better this week , the best players will always come through ,tough luck for the players that don’t have the cue power ,sick of watching average joes being able to do what White ,Higgins ,Hendry ,O’Sullivan etc can do on pretty much any table .

Just heard KD say MW has been working hard with his coach, Lee Walker. Is that the player Lee Walker?
"Kryten, isn't it round about this time of year that your head goes back to the lab for retuning?"

Ricky Walden’s pace and manner around the table (when he’s in the zone) reminds me of Ronnie O’Sullivan.

Mark rolls dead weight to a red. It just reaches and finishes not touching. By the time Ricky is in position to play his shot, ground vibration means the white rocked over and now is touching. The ref repositions the white to a non-touching state and Ricky has to play it as such.

                    Is the ref correct there?

                      Yes

Sec 3.8(g) If a stationary object ball, not touching the cue ball when examined by the referee, is later seen to be in contact with the cue ball before a stroke has been made, the balls shall be repositioned by the referee to their satisfaction. This also applies to a touching ball which later, when examined by the referee, is not touching.

Yes, he is a feverish chalker! And yep, I'm gonna say it (some may not like this!) As much as I appreciate his ability, I struggle to enjoy watching him play. He has a lot of talent but from a viewers point of view, the weak thumb on his bridge and the tongue poking out for concentration, then add the constant struggle with his trousers to maintain them at waist height is a real problem for me to enjoy watching him play the game!! Sorry Ricky, but it just isn't good viewing.

Thanks. That’s pretty concise and clear, isn’t it? Maybe Ricky needs to brush up on the rules himself, cos he wasn’t a happy bunny.
