The change is good and it's brilliant to see this nation host the event though.

Ah I got it now, Yan v Georgiou. Not showing in world snooker's live scores.

he's up against jimmy robertson next if robertson wins this , if robertson keeps his form up murphy will have to play very well to win , i'd view murphy as the underdog i think.

Murphy needs to string a few results together , the best thing he can do to improve his game is to lose significant weight and yes, the carpet it atrocious , like a 1950s Hollywood version of Ali Baba starring Tony Curtis

Just heard this story on Talksport about Milkins !

Sounds like the good old days of snooker

Wake up call for Milkins. Needs to cut back on the booze. The older you get the longer it takes to recover. Took me 3 days to get over an all day session for my 60th. Milkins did well to lose narrowly to Ding.

i was about to say i dont know why he continues getting sponsored and access to the facilities at the swsa , just googled seeing that isnt there anymore he does strike me as someone who was a bit lucky to become a snooker player , he can beat neil robertson two more times at the crucible as well i'd still think the same.

I have always liked Rob Milkins
Seems most of the newspaper articles were a bit exaggerated (surprise surprise )
On Twitter he clarifies that he was not on a drinking "marathon" but was only 2.5 hrs and; maybe it was travelling, dehydration, the heat, sun-stroke, whatever; and he came over all weird.

not the ned of the world
                    Up the TSF! :snooker:

Nice to see many in the crowd standing ovation for Higgins' entrance - solid fans

I had not noticed anyone else (even Trump) getting such a reception
                      Up the TSF! :snooker:

another frame for si juahui , just checked yes he's one of the 16 amateurs entered into the world championships next month , i think most players will be hoping to avoid him haha.

My thoughts exactly Dean. Anyway, it got us in the news didn't it. Don't think I've heard a snooker related article on talk sport since the worlds. No such thing as bad press, so they say.

Thanks for posting the article Starsky.

You know I like Holt as well trains, but at 43 I think his tide may well be turning, outwards.

personally i dont buy into the age thing pb , unless someone's health is patently obviously a factor , i'd just say that he isn't good enough , i'd never brazenly say that about anyone but it just seems a bit hard to get away from.
