personally i dont buy into the age thing pb , unless someone's health is patently obviously a factor , i'd just say that he isn't good enough , i'd never brazenly say that about anyone but it just seems a bit hard to get away from.
That's interesting trains. I'm sure you would agree that a 90 year old Ronnie would struggle against a 25 year old Ronnie, Right? So the only question is, at what point did the 90 year old Ronnie really start to struggle? It varies from one person to another for a myriad of reasons, but clearly, at some point natural physical and mental degradation will take their toll, don't you think?

of course pb , just that about 8073 times of listening to david hendon talk about the ageing process and here we are with a 46 year old higgins beating a 43 year old holt and on sunday a 47 year old perry win the welsh open , and i think most people would view perry as a better player than holt , not that complicated really , what has he ever done in his career , and again i dont mean to come across like i dont like him , just the collective sum of its parts and all that.
Made enough money to raise a family while doing the thing he loves for a living, better than working for the man. The top 16 players need opponents, the top 32 need opponents, the top 64 need opponents, where would the tour be if those who have never won a title simply packed it in and got a job stacking shelves.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Actually Ronnie is mentioning that mistakes coming out of nowhere are sneaking into his game today. I guess that he must know :-) Higgins and Williams are mentioning the same quite often along with the joy of still beeing able to hang on. For most people your eyes changes and you restitute a bit different.

And it was this one I was commenting on.

I’d attribute that description more to your fellow Devonian andy hicks , holt is conveniently centrally located where he can just drive back to his home between matches from most wst venues , where as hicks would have to slog all the way back to the west country so he’s probably been shackled with having to fork out more on overnight stays at holiday inn’s etc and he's been on tour longer as well.
I dont think its a coincidence that a fair number of pro’s are centrally located , bond , joyce , mann , gilbert , ford , selby , woollaston , o connor , heathcote , mcleod , wakelin , k wilson , murphy , selt , highfield.
And not saying you were saying i was but i wasn’t making any insinuations that anyone should retire.
he's also in a booth for hours having to bridge the gap between presenters and viewers and having to cover airtime saying the same thing in dozens of different ways , and i'd like to see them give him a bit of a breather , for fear he isn't on telly enough playing is he ever not in the analysts booth when he's knocked out ?
kyren wilson apparently was unaware of the difference in free ball ruling where you can use the free ball to snooker when only pink and black are left on the table , first i've learned of that myself tbh.
