Don’t want to be telling tales out of school but couple of ex pros I know didn’t know the rule re free ball when only black and pink left. Maybe wasn’t around in their playing days. Has it been recently ( last 15 years) introduced?

sorry, no dice... this rule has been in the book since at least 1968
