Few bob to made during qualifying stage. Could secure a Tour place for those on the edge of top 64.
have you spoken to some of the players you know up there about the format , best of 11s vs the former best of 19s , do they prefer one or the other or arent that bothered ? ta

Not spoken to anyone. TBH didn’t know they had kept with best of 11 till yesterday. Personally I’m ok with it. Always felt sorry for those qualifiers who battle through 3 best of 19 to get to Crucible. I’d be knackered. Mind you I’m not 21 anymore lol.

i was musing the idea of going up to sheffield from euston anytime between the qualifying dates 4th and 13th april , return daily train fare is around minimum 52 pounds , not cheap , bit too much tbh.
Anyone know if Qualifying Round 1 for players ranked 81-128 + top ups is a random draw? Last year, if you remember, Jimmy White drew Stephen Hendry and lost. Jimmy will be hoping for a kinder draw this year.

i should think it would be seeded like in the further rounds , wouldn't seem to make much sense otherwise with the more ranking points and tour places up for grabs in qualifying for the crucible.
