i should think it would be seeded like in the further rounds , wouldn't seem to make much sense otherwise with the more ranking points and tour places up for grabs in qualifying for the crucible.

Yeah makes sense but I seem to remember a random draw last year and all the Oooh’s and Aaah’s when Hendry v White came out. Maybe just my memory failing….again.

I don’t agree with all this wild card bollox and free passes for legends of the game ,women or whatever ,if you do get a card then at least turn up as canon fodder whenever you are eligible,like Jimmy does .Hendry has abused his card by hardly playing and now quitting the World qualifiers .For snooker to be taken seriously then cards should be stopped ,if your good enough you play if not you don’t .

Qualifiers draw is tomorrow Tuesday 29th March. Haven’t heard if it’s to be streamed anywhere. Might be on a betting site.

Whats this i’ve read on another site about 8 of the 32 matches in the first round have already been drawn , including fraser patrick vs marco fu and alfie burden vs jimmy white , i haven’t seen anything on this on wst.tv , wst twitter or snooker.org.

i know , but according to a thread on another forum these matches have already been drawn , excluding figueiredo who withdrew these opponents on the right of the v are all the lowest 8 ranked players , it looks consistent , just curious to know where this info came from.

Some bits appearing on Snooker.org. Burden v McGuigan so yesterdays “leak” was wrong.

Some interesting matches there , burden vs mcguigan , patrick vs white , kleckers vs vahedi , heathcote vs mertens , surprised peifan’s only won three matches this season since winning the most ? frames at the 2021 q school , not easy for si juahui vs surety , probably will be boiko’s last match as a pro vs georgiou , i’d guess ng on yee will be quite pleased facing rory mcleod , and is this the third time reanne evans has played lee walker in crucible qualifiers , or am i getting walker mixed up with andy hicks last year.

i don't think the qualifiers draw has ever been covered by the media , just the draw for the last 32 what is it every thursday before the opening saturday of the crucible.

Were you able to see any logic to the draw apart from 81-112 versus 113-144? Looks to me like 113-144 pulled randomly out of the hat so you have Lei Peifan 110 versus Sean Maddocks 113. Andrew Pagett 108 versus Jimmy 114. Ian Burns 110 versus Marcu Fu 120. All ranked pretty close. Don’t suppose it matters much.
