good win there for david lilley vs robbie williams , helped by a fluke towards the end but was slightly better anyway , perfectly capable of beating kurt maflin on sunday.

watching on PC you can magnify the screen up to 250% and the mini screen match gets much bigger and quite watchable . Click on the 3 parallel dots in the top right corner of the screen

Yes i know i was just talking about getting around the annoying stalling streams of the last few days , once it stalled i’d just click onto another match , so it was easier to not bother with zooming in and out as otherwise i’d be adjusting zooming too often , and the mini screen isn’t that bad imo , the streams have been working alright this evening , touch chinese wood it stays that way.

I like Dominic he is one of the characters on the tour and very knowledgeable about the history of the game as well. I do hope he qualifies for the crucible but he will have a tough match against either Lu Ning or Lyu Haotian of China, but I think with the experience of the best of 19 frames I think Dominic will get there, I know Lyu has been to the Crucible twice before, but I think Dominic may just have the edge over him. I think if Dominic got beat in his first match and dropped off the tour I think he would retire and not bother going to q school and concentrate on commentating like Alan McManus because like Alan Dominic enjoys doing the commentary and is quite good as well.
I've always liked Dom and I'm pleased for him, but I don't think it's right that he or anyone else in this situation gets through to the next round without striking a ball, they must be able to find someone for him to play, seems like a very lazy solution to me.

losing signal - argh! I think it must be the venue that has really poor internet access, the freezing and losing of the signal is just terrible!

completely lost Steven Hallworth vs Yuan Sijun which I was starting to watch!

seems a bit strange with talk of thepchaiyah un nooh possibly losing his tour place before winning yesterday , mark davis has done very little over the last few years yet seems to be safely in the top 64.

I would be sick as a parrot to see Un Nooh fall off the tour. In 2019 Trump Barely beat him in round 1 of the world championship 10-9 . Un Nooh was leading Trump 6 -3 earlier on. I watch all his matches and consider him not quite the full deal ( will he ever be?) but stunningly gifted . He has played very weakly in recent times losing a lot to poorer players. While playing A Pagett yesterday he had some crazy misses. The worst was a 5 foot almost straight pot into the bottom left sack. He had nothing to do with the cue ball , he did not have to stretch . He missed it. You could see the look of shock on his face after. Jack Lisowski follows exactly the same pattern as Un Nooh but doesn't lose so much. Jack infuriates me also. Whatever is wrong with these two guys is inside their heads , not on the snooker table.

Yes somehow it´s a bit sad. He seems very likeable and has been there always. But nice he didn´t go chasing a wildtour card.

He’s had a huge slice of luck there has Dominic …..no Wenbo ……and earns himself £15k for getting to the last round .

                              • But I don’t begrudge him it at all , a thoroughly likeable chap with a huge knowledge on the sport and cues . And is a very decent commentator.
A character left in the game , and there’s not many of them left . Would be great to see him walking out on the hallowed baize of The Crucible again .
