According to my calculations Michael White is about 95% assured of getting a two year tour card for next year. He will get it based on his top 4 position on the one year list unless he loses tomorrow and David Lilley and Gao Yang both win. Hard to see Lilley beating Ding AND Gao beating Carter in best of 19 matches. Will be nice to see White officially back on tour. I hope I'm understanding how that works. If Lilley wins and gets a card for making the crucible does that mean White still gets his?

Watching some of these guys who are 40-80 in the rankings gives you an appreciation of how damn good the top players are. Many frames involve each player having 3-4 chances. Snooker is a very difficult game for mere mortals.

true but they also have the advantage of having very good facilities to practice with , milkins himself is a prime example he was the sponsored pro at the swsa in gloucester for a long time but that facility isnt there anymore , interesting that yupeng is apparently based in gloucester now as well so they're probably familiar practice partners.

didn't have much doubt peifan would show something , topped the q school order of merit , narrow losses in the home nations qualifiers in august and gave mark williams in the uk and ali carter in the welsh open decent matches.
