Actually I think it's right to have a strong ref when Ronnie is acting up. He had to pull him, he said the c word and made a gesture and it's better to warn him now. As a ref you need to stand up to O'Sullivan and circus that he sadly resorts to.

He either said something (swore) or made that gesture he likes doing and has got in trouble for before. Either way, he can't complain, because he does it for the attention and that's what he got. Glad Judd kept his focus to clear up. Maybe Ronnie will start up all the antics, like playing for 100 snookers etc. Hope not, he's been the best player all through the tournament, and doesn’t need all the BS

He's been like it for the last few years. It's just most refs are weak and it's good to see marteel was strong enough to warn him. O'Sullivan is a disgrace to the game and I just wish those around the biased BBC would call it out more often.

Indeed. Imagine if Selby did that, how many boos in the arena and bitter comments in this forum it would have provoked.

Just watched a replay and I can't hear what Ronnie says or does but when the ref is talking to him I can hear Ronnie saying "what did you hear? You heard nothing. Go and look at the camera". Then he points to the ref and says "Don't start" Shocking behaviour towards an official.
