2013 had some very convincing results, but the SF performance against Trump wasn't that great as far as I remember. 2008 was good, all convincing victories also, even though his long game was kind of missing in that Championship. 2004 had a close one against Hicks, and then basically three wins with a session to spare from the QF onwards. I don't know... it was a long time a ago, so it's difficult to make a fair comparison now. I did feel like he wasn't going to lose that Championship in a million years though. I didn't have that strong feeling this year, or any other time really.

But he wasn‘t unplayable in the way that he was unbeatable if he would have had a strong opponent like Hendry probably was in one of two years in the 90s.

Yes Hendry was done and dusted by then ,losing the cue two years before and then the Devil on his shoulder telling him he couldn’t win much any more .
