Williams was superb yesterday, I've never seen him string so many big breaks together, it seems to me that he's using a somewhat softer tip than usual giving him greater cue ball control, sounds like it anyway as the strike isn't so harsh.Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Is there some tension between Rob Walker and Ronnie ? At the start of Sunday afternoons sessions Rob introduced Mark J, Liam and David Gilbert, and stepped forward to shake their hand. After he then introduced Ronnie I'm sure Rob just walked straight past him, and neither acknowledged the other. Then in the post match interview Ronnie appears to be having a joke at Rob's expense by wearing glasses. What's going on ? I find Rob's pre session introductions a bit tiresome at times, but he's genuinely trying to engage the crowd in the matches they are going to see. He's no more tiresome than Ronnie constantly criticising WS, saying he'd sooner not play, then turning up for most of the events anyway.

Nice clearance, wasn't it? Still, Bingham is unlikely to be affected that much. He is fully in control.
I've actually been quite pleasantly surprised by the standard of breakbuilding so far, quite a few players scoring really well. Usually it's more of a struggle in the 1st round.

Did anybody watch Ronnie in Eurosport's aftermatch section rave about how unimaginably great China is and how soon it will rule the world culturally and economically (he avoided to say politically, I think) and everybody needs to accept this and that the Worlds should move to China...?
He keeps saying that and I kinda got used to it, but that worship-and-bow-down approach yesterday had a new, pronounced urgency to it. That felt odd, to say the least.
If they really wanted to move the WC, they should go to Ally Pally and move the Masters to the Crucible."That pocket moved!"
