its a wonder they cant get someone to do the commentary instead of rob walker , i dont know a former pro like marcus campbell , bjorn haneveer , adrian gunnell etc.
Right, and McManus is sitting in the Eurosport studio all week, being wasted.

I asked on here years ago why peter ebdon wasnt a commentator , someone who is only to be seen somewhere else now who takes more interest in the snooker media than on the table said ebdon isn’t used because he isn’t a yes man or isn’t seen as a sufficiently safe choice , theres probably as much in that as anything else i think.
Just seen a tweet from McManus saying "he called the Yan incident wrong last night"...
What incident was that? Not the pigeon again?
must have been when yan asked the ref to clean the white when he was partially snookered behind the blue before he potted the brown , the bbc commentator and selby thought yan was trying to pull a fast one getting a better spot but yan said afterwards he was only joking.

What was McManus getting at? Was he saying the ref got it wrong?

i suppose that bingtao was trying to get a better spot , thats the impression i got from selby's reaction as well , i wasnt watching eurosport at the time only bet365.
i dont know what mcmanus was saying i dont do twitter or watch eurosport
actually iirc i was watching on the bbc for my faults and i think joe perry agreed with the referee that yan may have been looking for a better spot and perry thought the ref was right.
Lisowski is looking really focused atm. He seems more composed around the table and has slowed things down a bit between shots . It seems having Ebdon in his corner is helping. The proof is in the pudding though when the match gets to the business end.

I can't help feeling that Neil's recent negative comments on the Crucible are having a negative affect on his game. I understand his comments and he's entitled to his view, I just feel it's the wrong time to be saying such things when you should be trying your heart out to win there.

Thatβs a good point as itβs created quite a bit of press around him which he should have avoided . Heβs got enough of that going on with him being favourite and having the reputation being an under performer at the Crucible .
I would like to see either player win the tournament but watching Liswoski play like this without the usual frustration I normally have actually make me favour him.
Will both matches be available tonight on the BBC red button? This afternoon only the Robertson - Lisowski match is available and there's no option to change tables.
