Judd needed the first few frames tonight but his last frame making a century and a total of 151 points in that frame because he got a free ball and mostly blacks over two breaks showed his class.
I guess most of his photos of his dad will be before he was put away so that would be from a very long time ago. He looks a lot different now to those days but I guess we all do

      • 5 lakh points removed at the start and added at the end. That was funny.

No, I don't think so. Django is slimmer with more hair.

Judd looked terrified when ROS was clinging onto him and sobbing , trapped in an eternal embrace with the Rocket, while his old pater stood grinning in the peripheral limelight , resplendent in ragged beanie and wrinkled shorts . Enough to bring on recurring nightmares

Judd quickly grew tired of it that's for sure.

                    • Just watching the interviews and seeing Ronnie in tears shows he cares more than he lets on about records etc, him and Tyson Fury are quite alike in that they have both had serious problems but not only came through them but in Ronnie's case definitely better than any human who walked this earth and Fury in a game where its harder to define who is better in eras but went into a lions den in Germany and defeated a fighter who hadn't lost in ten years, it's good to see people rising above their personal demons to achieve such success as anyone who has been there knows it's hard enough to get out of bed in them situations, never give up

it felt really uncomfortable, I think Ronnie did all that for his documentary, the need to go over and be talking, that will have all been pre planned.

It's been overlooked but the fact he's been filming a doc during this has probably helped him approach this in a more relaxed way. From the incidents with crowd members, refs and other bits, it's felt like a staged performance which is why he was able to detach himself from the game and play like it was practice.
it wouldn't surprise me if he realises that had benefitted him that he may try this for other events as it takes the pressure off it being about just getting the result.

                              • Congratulations to Ronnie O'Sullivan!
What an achievement, becoming only the second man in the modern era to win the World Championship seven times. To be honest four or five years ago I thought he had passed the chance to get this record as Selby, Ding, Higgins, Robertson and more recently Trump all were better than him and while I thought he had one more title in him I didn't think it would be enough for two. But he played a very strong World Championship and along with some of the big names not in form, this was a deserving title.
So far I had Stephen Hendry as the best player, also cause I think he was mentally stronger than O'Sullivan. But I guess now I move O'Sullivan ahead in my rankings. The most fascinatiing about him really is that he has such a high standard consistently over about 25 years. That's just incredible. And the reason for it is just his perfect cue ball control and break-building. That's the one thing that almost always is there for him and he can rely on it. If everybody was always playing their best, he might not be the best, but thanks to this fact he has the most consistent high standard (at least as long as Selby's safety game isn't quite what it was).

As for the World Championship overall I sadly think it was one of the worst in recent years, along with 2013 and 2019. Almost all top players were out of form (aside from Williams, Ronnie and for flashes Trump) and the tournament gave us very few classics with the semifinal between Trump and Williams being the noteworthy exception. Lisowski vs. Robertson and Higgins and Yan vs. Selby were other good matches, but that basically was it.
