Qualifiers tend not to be supported by audience, if it was local to me I would go but then I am "that sad"

Nothing sad about going to qualifiers for me, its the same old same olds at the main venues that does nothing at all for me.

darn it - family got in the way - would have liked to have seen ABs fight back to win 6-4!

Ng On Yee scoring well, a 91 in the first frame and a 49 in this second.
I don't know much about Alfie Burden but why did he make that negative tweet about Lyu Haotian exasperating just for losing position in their match , its not really his problem , and then Reanne Evans backing him up in a tweet when she wasn't even there, pathetic really.

If they were near me I'd go to everyone, every day, I think they are great value.

Reading stuff people post on twitter is a good way to start disliking them.

I used to follow Alfie and saw that his account was hacked at the end of October/early Nov and now has a new one - I don't know when the Lyu comment was made or what it said but from what I have read/seen of Alfie I am shocked if he said any like what you allude to.

Quite impressive from Muhammad Asif , he's only lost once this season, probably money to stay in England will be as much of a problem for him as anything on the table.

Read that Jimmy won two of his UK qualifier matches 6-0. Now, that's more like it.

Good start for Jimmy White , 1-0 . Whats that white 3/4 fixing on White's cue, it looks like the sort of thing Cliff Thorburn used in the 80's.

Jimmy White won the '84 masters with that sort of a design on his cue I think.

I believe that is the original cue he used in the 80's that Alex Higgins gave him, Alex bought it but it wasn't right for him so I believe Jimmy paid him a sum for it. It's possible he has had a replica made in that style though because it was quite iconic especially from this match, the original one in this vid I believe was a Classic Custom made by Michael Dunham. He used both Maple and Acrylic sleeves for the joints on his cues.

"Look at the stuff on that ball" "That really is wizardry"
...thanks for bringing back some nice memories with that vid.

Maguire looks quite composed, which is bad news for Jimmy.

At last, the ref's microphone is working...hurrah!!

Yes i thought Jimmy White's 12 - 0 frame score in this event going up against Maguire was nothing to be sniffed at. 'Just ' Dom Dale on wednesday stands between White and the last 32 on the BBC.
Good comebacks by Wakelin and Lawler but not quite enough in the end.
