Honestly thought that Mark would blow Ryan away today to the tone of around 10-5 !
Both players said the table was playing heavy.

Well pleased for Ryan, nice guy and he's played really well this week, knocking in some crackers along the way. I hope Mark can carry on with his new lifestyle changes, it won't be easy, but the rewards are self-evident.

I didn't watch the afternoon session as british superbikes live from Donington was on Quest at the same time, I caught the end of the final from 6-6 when I got home from snooker last night. Seemed to me that there were quite a few bad contacts that affected both players but especially Mark with his light grip and short action. He can't get his head around having to adapt to heavy conditions and to accept the kicks when they come along as not his fault and carry on regardless. Ronnie has that sussed now but several of the top blokes haven't.

BTW, as you all know I don't watch Selby but I heard he had a max and saw his treble red to keep the break going in the 'hot shots' compilation, kudos to him for that, brilliant shot!

Well done to Mark on his performance getting to the final and also for the weight loss. I heard Ronnie gave him some decent advice on diet, when to eat when not to and what etc. Thought that was really good to hear as they've had a little tiff in the past so great to see a little support for Mark as it's not been easy for him I don't believe, but good for snooker because he's definitely a talent we need in the mix!!

Yep, the signs were there and we've reached that time in the UK where the temperature is much lower in the AM and again late afternoon so I think the ambient temp may play a part in table conditions. Only so much the venue can do to counter this so it's the player who adjusts quicker and accepts it mentally who prevails!
