Funny how Ronnie refuses to use Taom V10, that kick yesterday when he practically had the match won 6-2 made a big turn in momentum and he was clearly all at sea in the next frame.

I personally think that him and Jump have such standing in the game that they are not prepared to use it without an endorsement fee and are prepared to forgo the benefits. If the frame gap in the match was less it could have been really significant.

To be fair to Ronnie he tried Taom when he won his sixth world title as that was played in humid conditions in the summer, therefore a lot of bad contacts, but he miscued several times and went back to triangle. I don't think he trusts it to give the grip on the cue ball that he's used to.
Seeing as Ding has his own brand made by Taom I think Ronnie and Judd would have no trouble coming to an agreement for an endorsment if they actually liked the stuff and used it. I think a compromise would be if that Ronnie went back to using master chalk, not as soft as triangle so not as many bad contacts.

Yep, I can understand him not liking the first few versions and not buying into it, but the new V10 stuff really grips well and everyone I know who uses it say they can't remember last time they had a kick.. obviously the balls need to be clean and so does the cloth but providing they are and both players on a table use it then you get seriously better conditions to play on as the table stays chalk free for the time you play. Not that it matters to Ronnie but it lasts an absolute age as well!

It's almost a surprise the ROS Taom chalk hasn't been made yet as they would probably sell like hot cakes to his many fans. I guess the right deal is yet to be struck on that one. πŸ˜‰

I can't believe a Chinese company hasn't brought out the exact same chalk at a fraction of the price of v10. They don't really bother with trade marks or patent protection etc over there
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

It amazes me as well that those guys haven’t switched over the latest version of Taom.
Every time I play somebody who use Triangle I start getting kicks and chalk marks over the cue ball. .
I never get kicks otherwise .

Every time I use the clubs tournament champion balls I get lots of kicks, with my own super crystalates they are very rare. I would love to see a top pro use a set of supers with modern table conditions, what chalk wouldn't matter.
