That loss will remian in Jack's memory for a long time. Both players bottled it in the decider but Mark handled it a bit better. Well done Mark. The final should be a cracker.

Well that was a fascinating and dramatic match. Could have gone either way really, but I feel Jack missed the boat somewhat.

Interesting line up for tomorrow.. Great to see Ding back in the business end again. I had feared, that he had had his time and had lost the motivation..

Ding hasn't really played well, yes he likes York and his record at the UK is as good as anyone in this era but this year has been his worst performance. Yet he's reached the final and of course anything can happen in a final, but he's been unconvincing and only due to winning against two opponents in a row that just didn't show up, that's the harsh truth of it.

However it's Mark Allen's to lose for me. The season he's had, the fact he's been more tested and come through with determination and bottle, I think that's why he will win the final. He knows how to win ugly and that is probably how I foresee this final going.

It's been another UK of shocks though and although it's good to see different faces, ultimately we've ended up with two familiar players and missed out on a new winner. Would've been nice to see Lisowski or Ford win but alas, they seem destined to miss out on success. They just don't have the temperament and bottle when it really counts and the more you lose and the scars you get from these losses, makes the mental challenge tougher the next time.
