Oh look the eternal John Virgo's back.
Wish the BBC were a little more imaginative or had some sense of appraisal or updating in their choice of commentators.
I hear this is his last - last season or last tournament - not sure which (I hope the former )

I'm sure he's probably a nice guy, just don't freely and openly broadcast that you don't follow the game, it should be progression and not dormancy on the menu !

agree 100% with this, nice guy probably but not a class commentator
sorry BBC but he puts me off - over to Eurosport for me

A typical snide comment from you ....spare us your wisdom , it must be great to be a living legend in your own mind
I thought Kyren Wilson was a tad lucky tonight, Matt was getting up a good head of steam after a dodgy start, had Kyren in all sorts of trouble until lady luck gave him a leg up.

The fast and the furious,
The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!
Another "mates" match today, after Mark & Jordan it was Perry & Robertson this afternoon - its horrible playing people you like in matches gotta find a way to pretend they want to go out with your daughter etc just too hard! Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry and now Ronnie O'Sullivan are/were experts in this.
Wouldnt normally bother mentioning this, but in this case today its THE UK Championship, not just another knock up and Neil i feel needs some more big wins on his resume, regardless of being under the weather I feel the relationship as practice partners & mates played a part today.

Said the same thing to the missus. It's just part of his 'slightly too relaxed' attitude I think, he seems to have lost some of the bite he had when he was younger. Seems pretty happy though.

Yep, I really dont want to see the "Great White" lose his teeth this early in his career, im sure he will be back but as i say, days will become numbered for that charge. I too though am happy that he seems well overall and in a good place generally - Him and Judd though , just too good to never be more than one time WC winners...

Yeah, I think Judd will win at least another one, but I'm beginning to wonder about Neil. Would be a shame, but I don't think he's really that bothered, too chilled and loved up atm. We need his missus to run off with the window cleaner, put some fire in his belly.

The Ford vs Higgins Match is certainly helping me see how even the best can struggle day to day in delivering a good game! I think its entertaining on that level alone... no surprise that.. my money will be on Higgins to prevail but... happy to lose this bet if Tom finds something!
TBH - I always feel that when you are playing a "great" and they are not flowing, its a great chance to beat a top player and you must dig in and make the most of the chance - not seeing that grit from Tom sadly...Hope he is too old to be a giant killer himself!?
