Yes, I've been watching this one on the red button, had to leave it to watch the end of the Lisowski/Murphy match but back again and he's looking in great form.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Yes I've been impressed with Sam's game, it's good to get to see other talents in the game playing well. I like what Neil Gould's said of him too, some people wanting to put tags on Sam for being a slacker a while back, but Neil said forget all that just look at the player he is now - and he looks a very good one to me. Just needs a bit more experience against the top players to help him rise up the ranks.

          • I'm a little surprised there aren't more posts on Jack's performance , four tons in a row against a top player who is in form is a highly impressive performance.

Maybe with Jack, we've seen it so many times where you get a great performance followed by a poor one that people have just come to expect that next...

You’re right. I need to see him win something before I’m a believer. Too many false dawns.

Ditto Ding's. But then, it was against Ronnie, so we just get the usual "bad day at the office" stuff rather than praising the guy for a superb performance.

As for Jack, yeah, great performance, but you could say that Murphy's always got a wobble in him.

                The fast and the furious,
                The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

The thing was Pat, what I saw at the start of that match was the same frightened Ding who looked prepared to lose like he normally does to Ronnie. Now he is of course a top notch talent and a winner so when the mistakes kept coming he instinctively knew he had a good chance. That's what I saw in that match.

Same really for both Ding & Lisowski we've all heard it before that it's their time or they're back! But now they've gotta do it and prove it - good luck to them both.

                  • I hope Craigie now kicks on, not seen much of him before this but if he can keep that level up he can definitely climb the rankings. Dings great to watch when he plays well as is Mark Allen but I hope Lisowski goes on and wins it, I'm a sucker for players with that lovely easy stroke cue action. Been a funny tournament for the top boys, I wonder if the others having to play qualifiers has got them match sharp and maybe catching the top boys cold.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

So you're saying that any victory against a player who's not on top form, is not worthy of praise? Unless it's Jack, Judd or Ronnie of course.

Only 2 quid, keeps the interest up and not much more than a tfl bus fare, all good.
