  • I feel Murphy should be called out for mind games. There is no way someone who claims to be in so much pain could play a best of 11, let alone play to that standard. As others have said, and I've suffered plenty myself, when my neck and back are bad, I can't even get down on the shot, it takes me 2 or 3 days before I could even feel capable of bending down!

I also feel he used it to put off Trump. Many a time you could see him pulling faces, stretching his arm, turning his neck, all whilst trump was at the table. He knew full well what he was doing and I think that had a direct affect on trump opening up and playing a thick safety believing Murphy was not able to play that well due to pain.

Yes, trump has learned a lesson I guess, but that kind of sportsmanship is something I don't like to see in snooker. I hope lisowski now goes on to win this as I feel we desperately need a new face winning as it's getting a bit boring if O'Sullivan wins again.

    • Agreed Cueman ,I feel Lisowski realistically is probably the only hurdle to stop Ronnie taking this title ,I’m hoping he hammers Murphy and he had the self belive that he can win this .

Yes, I said credit to him for how he played but absolutely zero credit to him for that Tweet, just not necessary and very attention seeking.

        • Ken Doherty ever the sycophantic little tit now paired with Rob Walker jeez is this the state of snooker media. My appreciation of Denise Coates grows by the minute.

Yes, a bad day at the office for Ronnie, he is human after all! Both players didn't start well but when Ronnie kept making mistake after mistake, It wasn't too surprising that Dings confidence rose.

              • Brilliant from Ding, he out-Ronnied Ronnie today. A GOAT whitewashing is not something you see very often, no matter how out of sorts Ronie is. This is why Ding is one of the most frustrating players on the tour, when he's on form, the clinical precision of his cueball makes him almost unbeatable, like Ronnie, lovely to watch. Probably just another Indian summer, but could Ding really be back? I'd love to think so but....

One more here. I was so surprised to see that Ronnie lost from what looked like a walk through. Usually he is clinical, when the tournament opens up and none of his bogeymen are left in the tournament. When Trump lost I was convinced that OΒ΄Sullivan would win, but so nice to see Ding back again.

Hendry for me like O Sullivan is another waste of time talking to, all me me and trying to ingratiate himself to the uninitiated, Davis at least was funny, neither O Sullivan or Hendry are i don't think.

Murphy doesn't care much for lower ranked players when they are amateurs though, he's trying to make amends for that childish outburst. I don't scratch my head after an O'Sullivan interview, I understand him completely, just because his mindset is different to yours doesn't make him wrong. Davis when commentating makes me wonder how he ever won six world titles, Hendry tells it like it was from his perspective, you don't have to agree but there's no bull.

Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

I've met and spoken to Hendry about the snooker scene, he couldn't give an amoeba's arse about lower ranked players and the amateur scene, i scratch my head about who he's trying to appeal to when he couldn't win fa when the players that entered pro snooker when the game opened up finally found their feet. He actually thinks its a good thing that the less well off shouldn't try their hand at snooker, what a hero. Seriously.
