Early exit for me. Won my first round match 2-0 then got blown away 2-0 in R2. The good news was that I didn’t miscue once. When I left Scott Donaldson (pro) was in one Semi V a young Scots amateur Liam Graham. Liam beat Dean Young (pro) 2-1 in quarters. Scott beat Aaron Hill (pro) 2-1 in the quarters. The other semi was being contested by a couple of amateurs. The guy who humped me and another guy. Great day…..no kicks and no miscues. I hope one of the amateurs win it. Preferably the guy who beat me lol. Won’t feel so bad.
64 man field. Good turn out.

That's a fantastic turn out. To get 64at any tournament nowadays is brilliant. Well done Nifty, that's some pretty good company you've been in today. Liam is a cracking wee player. Had Dean Young play on the next table to me at the Bathgate club, he's a good player as well. Scott Donaldson is class, I love the way he cues, could watch him all day. Was that at the Locarno club?

Yes great turnout. Had to bring the shutters down as 64 is about the maximum Locarno can accommodate with only 7 tables. The event is in memory of Hugh Elden who passed away from cancer. He was a leading light in Scottish Billiards. Top bloke loved by all.
Eden Sharav and Michael Collumn were there but must have got beat early doors.
Scott won the final.

There wasn’t a high break prize on offer so breaks weren’t getting recorded. I’ll ask Scott if he had any tons but in the matches I saw it was pretty dour. Lots of grinding. A few of the youngsters were knocking in regular plus 50’s. Natural talent.
