That 143 from Vafaei was something else.

JP sits there and says he's not got the best cue ball control and then he goes and throws that out. Jeez.

Well, in that 143 he kept potting his way out of position trouble, so JP technically is right...

Great match so far... one-two punch, counter punch. Lovely.

If I ever get to halfway as good as that, I'll take being a potting machine any day.

Thing I'm loving at the minute is that it literally could be anyone of them taking this tournament. There's no outstanding person I'd be willing to put money on.

Turned into a bit of a "smash n Grab" match between Hoss & Jack but its entertaining for sure.

I noticed Williams was often cleaning the chalk marks of the table with his hand , probably a veiled gesture to Ronnie for still using the old chalk .Best day of the master so far ,both matches were crackers .Hussain reminds me of Joe Johnson the way he plays ,straight to the table and knocks them in with not much thought of position ,but so good and fluent when he’s in .

Had a result watching both of those matches live yesterday.
I was willing Williams to beat Ronnie yesterday . I just love his coolness around the table and attitude to snooker .
It obviously meant loads that win as his missus was crying when he won .
I agree about Hussain, he is a joy to watch when is in full flow . His cue ball control isn’t quite there at times but he seems to be able to pull out great recovery shots when it matters . I think he will improve even more once he tightens up his positional play.
The crowd love him as well.

I think the crowd somewhat turned against Ronnie after his first round match win when Rob Walker asked him if he got a buzz from the crowd coming into the arena and Ronnie said no ,crowd bood and Ronnie said only joking ,which he wasn’t.Maybe people are fed up with hearing the same I can’t be bothered, don’t care about snooker etc comments ,Williams certainly got more support than he thought he was going to get .Jack will need to tighten up his concentration a tad ,he’s still prone for the odd crazy shot choice or easy miss .

BINGO! I was wondering how Vafei reminded me of. He's also got a bit of Johnson's happy-go-lucky demeanour - just pleased to be there, bang a few balls in, no stress.

I think Ebdon agreed with you about Jack as he was scribbling loads in his notebook while watching the game .

For today I hope Barry continues what he did to Allen and pummels Judd similarly. Just saying

You might get your wish if he plays anything like he did the other day . Its all down to Judd’s cue action or lack of it ….

It's like watching two club players this, it's going to come down to who doesn't want to lose the most
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

Well he missed it thick which is always a sign, but hand it to Williams, played great and like Ronnie I hope he wins it.

Hi all, apologies for off topic! I do have one spare all day ticket to today’s semis, if anyone interested let me know. We could meet at the arena and so the deal not looking to make a profit either.
