A tenner a pop and they use Elkmaster so you’ve always got a good chance of getting a dud tip anyway

I guess having to do tips in my club as a kid to get free time has set me on the road to achieve greatness ( in the tip game anyway )
He is using Grand medium at the moment.

You are right he was using Elks before switching to Grand recently.

Will he be able to get it done for tonight?

OK so superglue in an emergency, that's what the 15 minutes is for, but after the match take it off and stick it on properly with epoxy resin. I use Zpoxy 30 minute formula, dry enough to shape after 15 minutes and fully cured after 30, the tips never come off on their own, they have to be cut off to change them. One must understand that glue doesn't stick to glue so all the remains of old glue must be removed from both tip and end of the cue/ferrule.
Ronnie is an only child I believe

Not sure. Did not see any news yet. He said that he will send it to JP. It unlikely that it will be sorted at JP's today.

Ronnie has form for tip issues, wouldn't surprise me that its typical of him trying to find an excuse because his form has been pretty average this season. Rather than admit he's struggling, he likes an excuse and the amount of tip issues this guy has had down the years, well it just wouldn't surprise me he's loosening it, which he has done before.

I agree he can be a p***k at times but it was not his fault this time. The tip wasn't put properly.

Everyone seems to have their own preference regarding what glue to use. Fraser Patrick is a bit of a re-tip expert and I heard he doesn’t like loctite gel.

Read that Higgins has switched to the triple crown cue tips by Custom cues of Thailand.

First time I've seen Mertons, wow! how tall is he ? Wonder how long his cue is, must be way over standard.

He is 6'6". So, I assume his cue must be longer than 58" for sure, maybe 60".
