I got that predictiom clearly wrong then. Unless Allen can do something miraculous, I don't see him winning tonight. Ding deserves to be in the top 16. Hope this tourney helps him in that regard too.

That might be because some of the big guns didn't qualify.

WST should probably reduce ticket prices ,put customers in a draw for a few pairs of final tickets ,put people in another draw for a frame on the practice table with Hendry or McManus etc .There is lots of stuff they could do generate more crowds ,but they don’t .

The WPBSA & WST ask the players to get involved and come up with ideas etc on how things could be improved.....and then they ignore them and do nothing. 🙄

No wonder Ronnie stands on the sidelines and slags them off, I mean he's seen Judd make suggestions and be put on the spot with a microphone shoved in his face being asked what he would do to improve things....and where's the plan written up to roll all these ideas out....waste paper basket ?? 😴

Ronnie and Reanne were not due to play on the first day of the tournament, they had not planned to be in Leicester on that day. Jason Francis, who manages both, asked for them to be allowed to attend by Zoom rather than in person. That was refused.
But Steve Dawson still tells him to "get involved" from his lofty ivory tower! 🙄

Even if some don’t like his style of commentary he talks a lot of sense on his podcast on the reasons why ticket sales have been crap and what can be done to improve them ( or rather hasn’t been done) .
