  • Dings 21-16 record at the Crucible really is weak for his abilities. And soon it likely is 21-17.

He now has a winning percentage of 55,26 % at the Crucible. That is below the likes of Dennis Taylor, Ali Carter or Anthony McGill.

Great match by Vafaei though. Hope he gives O'Sullivan a good match as well.

      • Vafaei said ROS should retire. Will be a good match that.

        • Good win for Vafaei and a good interview. Seems like a nice guy.

          • Regards the ROS and Vafaei match...sounds like we're in for WWIII. 😆 I like Vafaei better though when he's a tad less expressive towards other players. Still..like him a lot. Fresh wind (blowing in from Persia)...

FolDing as expected. Good performance from Vafaei.

              • In the end the Ding - Vafaei Match was a bit disappointing. Would have hoped for a much closer contest.

                • Nil ranking points for Ding. Could lose his top 16 position.

                  • It was nice of Walker to make a point of reminding Jimmy Robertson that he's never won at the Crucible before, what a ****
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

Reminds me a bit of Stephen Maguire, a nice UK win that propelled him into attention but nothing great since, yes i know he's won events since then.

                      • Bit surprised to hear Hossein speaking about his feelings about Ronnie ahead of their match, not sure that's wise or good for his focus.

I always remember when ROS said something about Hendry in a similar pre match boxing rant kind of way and Hendry used that to fuel his focus and beat Ronnie. Pretty sure ROS will remember this too and and use it to feed his desire and concentration in the match.

I guess we will see. 🤔

What Bull s**t was Vafaei talking about? How can he disrespect his family and friends if ROS does something similar? by that analogy if your idol jumps off of a skyscraper, will you do the same? Senseless.

Weird interview. So, if I have this right, Vafaei is blaming Ronnie for Vafaei being disrespectful and saying bad things to his to own family and fans, brought on because he was emulating what he perceives to be his hero's, sorry, ex-hero's behaviour? Is that really what he said there?

Thanks for sharing CC, was looking for this earlier. And yes, I agree with you, always best to do your talking on the table.

For me it comes across as Bravado born from fear. I actually think he's good enough anyway.
