    • Basicly Higgins, Williams and O´Sullivan all could be in danger next season as they have a lot of points to defend.

      • I believe this 23 World Campaign reflects the initial crumbling of the Class of 92. I cannot see O Sullivan , Williams or Higgins ever lifting a World trophy again. Age has finally caught up with them at the fine edge of endurance 17 day WC grinds. I hope I am wrong though. Saw Ronnie almost visibly ageing . Selby appears quite tired also but I believe he might have one last sting in the tail. Mark Allen will be WC in 23 I believe but would I love to see Si winning it.? Most Certainly !

Yes, we are seeing a changing of the guard.

Ronnie needs a new cue and when he gets one I believe we'll see his form return. The cue he's used for the past twenty years was done for, cut down and reshaped but still done for, the finesse in his game is missing because of it. Wouldn't surprise me at all to know that he didn't look after it very well, couldn't even fit his own tips and whoever was doing so bolloxed up the ferrule and tip end.
Williams will plod on without regret or bother until he decides to call it a day, Higgins has put on weight again so obviously doesn't care anymore, I for one won't miss him but once Ronnie quits that will probably be it for me, not because I'm a superfan or anything but simply because the game has changed too much from what it was, we've seen it all now due to modern conditions and snooker will inevitably die because of that.

Mikee can claim all he likes about the pockets being tight but I don't see it, balls are dropping left right and centre off the jaws and once you catch a glimpse of the ariel view you can see how they are shaped to collect balls that are not accurate enough to drop on the tables in my club. The fact that world snooker do not allow their pocket templates to be used by anyone else tells me that they're hiding something, we all should be allowed to have the same conditions.

but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Probably just needs to shorten/lengthen his cue lol.

                  • Really enjoying this match with Si and Luca, a throwback to White v Hendry but Si knows the pockets are generous and is playing accordingly.

                    • Si playing some good stuff at the moment. Almost one-visit snooker. Could do some real damage in this session if he keeps it up after the interval.

                      • At the moment, Si looks unbeatable in a open game. Brecel won't be able to match him, nor will any other player left in the semis, if he keeps playing like this. So my guess is, he will only be beaten by different game tactics. let's see

                          • Wonder how Si would have fared with tighter pockets? He does pot a lot of dead in the centre but against McGill there was quite a few crucial ones which shouldn’t have gone in. Was the same against Murphy. I suppose the counter argument is that the pockets are the same for both players.
Cant see him beating Selby but hope he does. Still to get past Brecel though. Wouldn’t be too upset with a Chinese World Champion.

Why ? He's been living in Sheffield for the last 3 years, what do you think he's been doing in that time ? Collecting tape recordings of John Virgo saying he's ' never seen this player before '. ?
