Si on what I've seen from him is a top 10 player. All he needs is more experience and improve his safety game (trapping the opponent). He potting and positional play is already there. He reminds me of a young Hendry.

I saw the Hendry comparison a few times already and think it‘s quite apt. Both had/have exceptional potting abilities and strong positional play at young age already. The decisive thing as often in Snooker might be the mentality though.
It will be highly interesting to See how Si plays next season after his breakthrough.

Doesn't look like Selby is in the mood to lose this. Just playing way too solidly. Is this a partial score of 12-3 now? Not too different from the other match really, in terms of momentum, even if the pace is completely different.

I have nothing against Selby personally. What I don't like about him is he takes too long on shots that can be played obviously faster. I feel he does it intentionally. That's why I don't like watching him when he is onto such tactics. When he is making big breaks that goes away usually.

Good job Allen got into shape this season, he looks up for some midnight drama. Selby has been all over the place pretty much since my post two hours ago. If he loses this one, it will be a bigger collapse than his pathetic display against O'Sullivan three years ago.

Well, Selby can count himself lucky that Allen started to miss in the end as well.

I'm guessing Brecel is asleep by now, which is kind of a shame, because seeing Selby play like this would have surely given him some belief that he can beat him.
