Sorry for the late reply CC , I’ve been working instead of watching .

It’s a weird one isn’t it, not even so much as he hasn’t won it more but the fact he can’t seem to progress to at least the latter stages 🤔.
Personally I think it’s due to a number of things and none of them anything to do with walk in on your pre shot routine.
His A game is the best out there imo but when he isn’t on it his B isn’t strong enough to get through those longer matches .
He is very much a confidence player , more so than other players at the top end of the game . Attacking players tend to play off confidence , same as Lisowski but Robertson is far more consistent and not a bottler at big moments hence why he has won so many shorter format comps.
The Worlds favour more consistent performers even when they are having a bad session and those able to grind it out more.
I also think that the pressure of being constantly banded about as being too good not to have won more than one title has got to him especially as he has got older.
I think the mental side of playing with all that expectation and then possibly the fear of not performing again seems to be an issue .

That my take on it but nothing new tbh .

      • Mark Allen wins scrappy and safety prolonged frames as well as anyone, he hasn't made the one table set up at the Crucible since the year before Robertson won his WC. It's just difficult to predict and difficult to win.

No worries, thanks bud.. I think you're spot on with those observations and it's written on Neil's face when he's not feeling it and also when he is. The difference is huge between the two personas he has. One is the Peacock strutting about with his tail up. The other is a dejected lad who looks like he'd rather be watching TV. He needs help finding a B game that can get him out of bad sessions a bit more evenly. 👍

            • I think Higgins form is due to him wanting a piece of Ronnie at this year's worlds. He hated not playing well against him last year and i think it's driven him in practice and preparation for this year.

Apparently he is having cue issues.

                The slow and labourious,

                • Freeview ch601 switching over to Higgins Wilson now with Taylor and Doherty, i think Rob Walker might have took the hint from here and possibly elsewhere, he wasn't nearly as non stop ott in the Milkins Si match this evening.

                  • Anyone else get the feeling that Robert Milkins is quite lucky to be a pro snooker player ? He doesn't seem quite cut out for it.

Not sure how you can be lucky to be a pro snooker player
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

He was sponsored and supported for years by Paul Mount at the South West Snooker Academy with some of the best playing conditions in the UK.
I have nothing against him though, as i've said on here before, he openly advocates opening the tour up to all, so for me i'd never have any problem with whatever success came his way.
