In my experience maple has a bit more flex to it and hence is better for feel shots . Maybe itβs down to each individual player though .

As you say still impressive but not quite as impressive as a 1000 !
I think the other stat that Ronnie now has over 200 centuries at the Crucible alone - where most pros don't even have that in their career - most impressiveUp the TSF! :snooker:

cueman post #489 theres a youtube video of the top players asked at a venue about why theres so few young British players in the pro game, i gave it a fleeting look, even Jack Lisowski is parroting the woodwork narrative that there were more players in clubs in his day, i had to laugh.

I saw an article where Ronnie said its too expensive if you're young and want to do solo practice in clubs.
He also said he tried to get a club off the ground and if it worked he would have opened more around the country, just for under eighteen's, with no drink and away from adult conversation and just dedicated to snooker but he couldn't find anyone to "chuck him a few quid" to get it up and running, so in other words he couldn't get any backers. Surely this is something world snooker should be all over.

Watching Jak Jones this morning miss a few and look like he's just realised where he is, to then battle back and make his first ton in the match and make it 10-10!! Well done to him, we've seen many realise the magnitude of where they are and crumble. That was impressive to steady the ship and regain full focus. ππβͺ π΄π‘π’π€π΅πβ«π³οΈπ

Starsky, I can't remember where I read it it was definitely a written article and not a filmed interview but I've looked for it and can't find it. I'm guessing Facebook. Wish I had saved it or stuck it up on here. This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!
