Good post by Odrl about Brecel, it feels like he's a streak player, when he's having a good day he can be unplayable but it only takes his game to drop five percent and he's gifting chances left right and centre. I hope I'm wrong as I'd love to see a new face and an attacking player win it.

Absolutely. Selby isn´t everybodys cup of tea, but he still is one of the worlds best breakbuilders and that combined with maybe the strongest safetygame plus never giving up makes him so deadly. And if O´Sullivan had been close to his A-game I don´t think Brecel had taken 7 frames in a row.

I agree very much with Hendry but the pockets are too easy this year, more so than usual which kind of gives more kudos to Selby for coming through into the semis. One would have thought that world snooker would give Si a part payment on his winnings so far in order for him to buy a new suit Maybe it's his lucky suit, kind of hope so but don't as I love watching Luca as well.
The Selby Allen match may well mean the final will end on tuesday unless the referee is stronger and doesn't put up with both players unending gamesmanship.

Si is young, he'll grow into it.
Selby is a terrific player, my pal loves him and persuaded me to go to an exhibition to see him. It's in May so we may well be seeing the current world champion. Apparently he's playing eight frames, I've booked an hotel as it will probably not get finished in the one night

He's the real deal isn't he!! I see some Hendry like qualities in the lad. He feeds off opponents weakness and his long game is right up there.

Pretty fair result for that session. Some unreal snooker and also some baffling shots. Si missing the black and that safety on the yellow Luca potting them off the lampshades then missing that pink and the miss cue on the yellow.
Selby if he makes it will eat either of these two alive.

Good for Si he won the last Frame. Could have been 6:2 as well with a bit more luck for the Chinese, but 4:4 would have certainly given him a bad mental feeling as he must have felt he must have won the session.

Sometimes the pockets play a bit easier ,I’ve seen Some slow shots catch the near jaw and drop and some not go in that look like like they should .they have been the same pretty much for 32 years ,it’s not like most people on here would play on those tables and knock in tons ,those fast heated cloths are lightning ,any unwanted side throws the ball far more than a heavier club cloth .The pockets in the 80’s up to 1991 were a different more rounded shape and bigger .Some of the tables in Joe Davis era had pockets like buckets ,but the balls and cloths were crap. Modern thin heated match cloths and better balls and conditions are responsible for better break building and better players .

I avoid Eurosport's coverage of snooker because of that Radzi guy... I cannot stand anything coming out of his mouth, it drives me mad.
