I agree with V Max and Fkhan and hope Ronnie has one more WC in him , but I dont think so . The younger guys dont hold the AWE factor for anybody , even Ronnie The couple of whitewashes hes got recently and the unpredictability of his form from one day to the next are coffin nails for another WC for him . I hope he plays on for decades like Jimmy , he will always be my all-time legend anyway , loveliest player to watch as well as the GOAT

Two fantastic Semis, two contrasting styles, both equally fascinating and entertaining. Luca's playing just like he did against ROS, but Si is playing far better than Ronnie was. Difficult to see Luca recovering now, unless Si starts to feel the pressure as he gets closer to the winning line, which is possible, he had a distinct wobble playing McGill so you never know.

As for Mark v Mark, well, Odrl summed it up nicely in post 669.

Well I took the day off work to watch the semis without knowing who was going to get there. Great stuff this morning and I rather stupidly had a gander at this afternoons match
What an incredible borefest, taken off after only six frames, another re-rack included, frames consisting of 45 minutes of bugger all followed by the last four colours clearance getting ecstatic applause . I really feel for poor old Leo Scullion trying desperately to stay awake to referee this rubbish. Labelled as 'snooker for the purists' to try to sell it to us, what crap. Two great players have reduced themselves to taking no chances at all, playing with absolute fear and no belief.
Such a shame that one of them will reach the final and carry this on until monday and probably win it.

At the moment, Si looks unbeatable in a open game. Brecel won't be able to match him, nor will any other player left in the semis, if he keeps playing like this. So my guess is, he will only be beaten by different game tactics. let's see
