I was impressed with Fergal Quinn yesterday, 3-1 down to Brandon Hall and looked angry with himself but managed to win the next 3 frames to win the match!! You look for an edge in these players and the lad showed good bottle and determination whereas Brandon (who looks a very strong player) took a slightly negative route once at 3-1 up, looking like he was trying to nurse his lead over the line.

I watched Dean Young last night. He was awful. At 1-1 Dean’s opponent (Taubman) needed snookers on the colours. Dean somehow managed to foul on the black twice FFS. He clawed his way back into frame then went in-off the black to lose the frame. So so careless. Downhill from there. Taubman didn’t look great. Can’t see him progressing.

Aye watched him Nifty, was hoping for much better. He seems to have gone backwards a bit(is that harsh?) nowhere near as attacking, maybe he's trying to change his game.
I was just flitting in and out the game as I was in the shed but it didn't look good.
Spoke to Liam Graham a bit back and at the time he said Dean was the best of the younger Scottish players unfortunately he doesn't seem to have kicked on.

He doesn’t have a club to practice at (don’t ask lol) so never gonna be match fit.

Liam Pullen bit the bullet a little vs Wilson,Steadman and Britton but he looks perfectly capable of winning matches on tour, i think Moody looks perfectly capable of winning matches too.
Thanks itsnoteasy for the links btw, some of them didn't work for whatever reason though, not a criticism at all just mentioning it.

Mainly they only work when there is a match actually playing on that table Trains but I think a couple of the lower ones never worked.

Another Chinese female having a go at Q School. Bai Yulu. Haven't seen her before. Ahead 3-1 atm.
Only lost 4-3 to Craig Eastman in Q1.

Is she the young lass who broke the high break record in the ladies world championship(127 I think)
She was very good when she was younger then covid struck and the Chinese lockdown stopped her in her tracks.
As far as I know her first big comp was the world champs and she broke the high break record and reached the final, the next tournament I heard of her in was the British open and she won that.
She could be the one to make the break through, got a way to go yet but she's only 19.

Been really enjoying watching a few of these matches, such a nice change to see different players and techniques etc. Also fantastic having no silly commentary stating the same old junk over and over, I know the shots they're going to play.

Ok, I have another observation to my last post.... It's also hell on earth watching what these guys go through trying to succeed. I've just finished watching Matt Glasbys game, who is another local lad and a friend of a friend of mine, good guy. He's such a good player, made 126 followed by a 135 recently in a match at home, but it almost counts for nothing in these B07 matches against average grinders who are just there to be like gorrilas in Mario cart.

I know the cream will rise, but boy are there some fine lines to that distinction.

I watched the last two or three frames of that match, quite impressed with both players, Glasby did very well getting all the colours ? in the end to win on the black.
Did i notice a jubilant swinging open of his cue case when putting his cue back in ? Anyway deserved, interesting match tomorrow afternoon vs Taubman, Bet365 have Taubman as 8/15 favourite, Glasby's 11/8, i'd take Glasby but we'll see.

Just logged on and got lucky watching Harvey Chandler make a lovely 107 clearance against Fergal Quinn to win the match 4-1. Looks a very confident player and plays at a nice pace.

Harvey was a player I thought would push on and establish himself when he first broke into the tour, just goes to show how many good players are around I suppose!
As always i'm astounded how many not even half decent amateurs are competing at Q school, must be a lot of people with disposable income and flexible employment

Wasn’t expecting Frazz to be grannied by Keith Keldie.
