Basically he has come back from being treated like a king in Shanghai, adoration and red carpet treatment all the way, to then play at the run down Brentwood leisure centre built in 1988 in Essex....

The security were letting people in an out, Ronnie became more focused on that than his snooker, started throwing his cue at quite a few, Anda was playing very well and frustrating him, that was more than enough...

I also don't think Ronnie takes any pride in playing in his home county.... Especially in a run down leisure centre. I'll get the violin out for him 🎻

I wish they would tell Jimmy White to not hit the balls so hard on the "back table", when the main match is on! :rolleyes
        Up the TSF! :snooker:

That happened when I was there last year. Sounds like the balls are echoing through your seat from back there!!

Interesting John Higgins a 48 year old talking at the end there about bringing back the tiered system which I agree with him about, they only talk about it though in the sense that the ' top boys have earned it ' and not the real reason because these conditions are so exclusive and the more experienced players thus have a huge advantage.

Also Hendon at the end talking about the class of 1992 defying time when he knows their advantage with the conditions.
            Me-me's will be Me-me's I suppose.

Luca, Dott and Mark Williams pulled out of Wuhan. Gilbert had pulled out earlier.

Yes very insightful and open conversation held here, almost surprised that Alan had the minerals to speak out as much as he did, good on him. Posting the interview here so others can understand what was said too.

Another good story that backs onto some of John Higgins conversation above in my last post. I get a feeling that players or least a few of them want to take a stand on this. I can just hear Bazza & Son saying "They've never had it so good" which may be true but it's about quality and management not quantity.

Sharing the story again so everyone knows what we are going on about -

It’s a feast or famine situation. Pre Hearn there wasn’t enough tournaments and now there’s loads. Don’t want to use the words too many. The whole thing needs a bit of sorting out. It’s ludicrous having one tournament finishing in UK on Sunday night and another one starting in China the following day. Madness. Hearn’s answer was always.. Oh well the players don’t have to enter all the tournaments…. but that’s not the point. I liked the tiered system. Didn’t really like the flat draw. Don’t get me started on prize money. Always felt it was a case of the rich getting richer and outside of top 50 players were just scratching out a living.

Cmon, who turned Trump back on again...? Who was it?

The fragility of Trump was looking scary for him today, then bang, it's like he just said eff it, if I'm going down I'm going down swinging. He went positive and found a run of form for a remarkable turn around win.
Still a chance if put under pressure he could collapse tomorrow but if he starts well he could romp home. The mental part of this game fascinates me.

Have to echo the words of itsnoteasy, the way Trump plays and what happens and his demeanor makes him so interesting to watch.

He wears his emotions on his face like no other person in snooker. Unlike Williams who you cant really tell if he's winning or losing, Trump is the complete opposite.

It's probably his biggest weakness but on occasions like today he can make it his strongest asset, he can often play his best stuff when he decides he's just going to play on instinct, I don't think I've seen anyone be able to do that ever. The most natural talent the game has ever seen for me.

Very unexpected one sided final. Zhang settled well after a protracted first frame and Trump struggled, though in large part to tip issues that have seen him miscue on numerous occasions. However Zhang scored very well, his safety was excellent and is still in a strong position going into the final session tonight after a late Trump rally in which he took the last two frames of the session.

It's actually the first time I see Zhang playing... the quality down the rankings keeps amazing me these days, no wonder some want the tiered system back

While still trailing, Trump looks quite the favourite now, I'd say... interesting watch, this.
