Going through He Guoqiang's results on snooker.org he looks like he's here for the next decade.
A young Chinese practising in Sheffield, a beneficiary of investment.
        Who would have thought it.

I'm interested in who you favour as good/best second rate player Trains, I feel Matt Selt is a decent bench mark player to test most top 16 players if they are not on their game 100% but other than Si Jahaui I've not really seen an Asian pro that makes me feel he can't take control.

I found Ronnies comment to McManus in Thier post match interview (with Jackson Page) interesting, where when asked how can Jackson get to the next stage and he answered well he needs players like Mark Williams and John Higgins and Selby etc to retire.... Im probably wrong but this says to me that the old boys have so much ring craft on these conditions that they have become so difficult to beat because their fear factor has gone and therefore the challenge of stepping up against grand masters is obviously tough because they've got nothing to lose and new players have it all to prove and Obviously they have to try and break through against this elite troup... on their much trained turf? Next Gen only way? Lots of words / thought, but I know you have competed so interested in your current view. 🤔

Hi mate #34 good post, I dont really take any notice of O'Sullivan in the media, nothing personal against him just that he's been in and around the circuit since what was it 1992 and with said experience and ring craft and the bank balance to back him up, what is there really to see ? It's nothing personal against him, never met or spoke to him, he's making hay while the sun shines, its much much more on WS, i don't like the way the game is run, that 100 percent isn't O'Sullivans fault.
For an up and coming dark horse I don't really know, to be fair to Ant McGill earlier Zhang Anda looks a decent player, he came close to qualifying for Sheffield in April.
This is the second reply as the first vanished, thanks to the weird happenings on this site.
            Enjoy your snooks.

Thanks Trains - agree re WS, not doing a great job in my eyes either. Anda won his match today looks a solid player.

Zhang Anda is one of those frustrating players that I used to follow, lots of potential and talent in the early days but then faded and fizzled out some years ago, taken a while to come back to possibilities
                Up the TSF! :snooker:

Yes there's been a few of those hasn't there, Yuan Sijun was another tipped for greatness by Stephen Hendry years ago now but never really surfaced. Doing ok tonight against Trump though.

Ronnie is doing his Prima Donna thing where he looks like he just wants to go home.

Was it the audience? was it the cue tip? was it his opponents concentration at the table? Was it his mind playing tricks? Don't know which..
