What I saw was Pany Junxu playing like he usually does but a little bit more consistent than Robbo was; it was as I thought it would be - a decider
Been watching Pang getting more and more comfortable in the big time so who knows.... (as someone said on Twitter -"don't want to junx his game"

Murphy just did not turn up too the level required to match Judd playing B+ game. Very entertaining though

Less said about Wilson/Williams game the better - the poorest out of the QFs I saw.

Did not see Slessor/Heathcote match, happy for Slessor ... but no ROS to beat this time
Thanks Dean, that is actually a very accurate summary of the days play! πŸ‘

I understand Willo’s demeanour and attitude to what is work to him, his job, but that must’ve bothered even him a bit to lose that badly to Kyren again.

Kyren asking the ref what the highest break was when he was on 75 (knowing full well it was made by Willo) should be enough to get Mark on the practice table!!

    • Let’s see if Pang can mix it with the World Champion. Hope so.
I’m warming to Rachel Casey. Didn’t like her at first.

          • I hope that Pang has moved his game forward from the WST Classic final where he was easily taken care of by Selby and the Welsh Open last year when Murphy also showed him the door in the SF.
I don't think Kyren will give him many chances

            • Judd just seems too good at the moment.

              • Agree that when Judd's on it he's awesome but he always seems to throw in a random miss that would even have a club beginner gasping in horror. He gave Slessor a few chances which went untaken, not sure why Slessor was hitting them so hard, maybe out of frustration.

It does seem to be a thing, that when a player becomes frustrated, tension can build in the arm and result in shots being hit way to hard. Seen it many times at all levels.

Shame Elliot couldn't capitalise on some of those chances, not taking them is what leads players to the Dark Side! Lol

Same, she's has built good rapport with the pundits and tries hard to get some different aspects on the play out of them rather than letting them get away with the same old Spiel!

                    • Whenever Judd plays Kyren I always feel he is frightened of him. Years ago when they didn't really get on, he wanted to prove he is the better player. However over the last couple of seasons Judd becomes very anxious and he seems like he doesn't believe he can beat Kyren if Kyren is playing well. Simply put Kyren has a lot more mental strength in the big matches and I see him winning more than Judd for the rest of their careers from here on in.

Now a 7-0 upset, with a whitewash on the cards, this is looking pretty prophetic! Trump looks very rattled.

                        • Judds only job tonight… keep Kyren honest. Good luck with the task.

                          • Kudos to Wilson, playing like a WC who believes in himself and holding that mantle like a champion ! Well done to him. Brilliant performance.

didn’t expect that win line against Judd.

I suddenly fancy a pint of Guinness! 😎

Yes is was a surprising first session, hard to come back from that but I expected a bit more from Judd, he's had a few decent comebacks recently.
