It's a no brainer for betting companies to sponsor sporting competitions as they get their prize money back plus much, much more in losing bets which means they are getting free advertising. Does anyone have any idea just how much these companies make annually, it's colossal and a huge tax revenue for the state so no it won't be banned.
Personally I'm pleased that my pastimes and interests are considered degenerate, sod the establishment and the woke agenda

Punters can bet on cricket as well, that doesn't stop sponsors like NatWest and the seeming inundation of other companies logos I saw at Lords on tv a few months ago, its a Hyacinth Bucket thing amongst men. It doesn't seem quite as apparent in China though, which coincidently is where the future of this sport seems to lie.

Always looks like a good player, surprised he hasn't won more, nearly beat Ding in Sheffield a few years ago.

I watched some of that last night. David played really solid and scored well when he got in winning the frame in one visit as well. He's a good bench mark challenge for any top player especially if like Stuart last night, they're not on their game.

I watched some old stuff on YouTube recently, it was great the way Jack Karnhem would leave silences and just say something succinct when the time was right. It was like he was enjoying the snooker and almost forgot he could speak about it sometimes... Wish that style would return.

Easy to second guess after the event but i think Gilbert should have gone for that pink off the last ? red , no point hitting and hoping on a not difficult snooker afterwards when he was trusting to luck from his own snooker anyway.
