Yes thats right, with Philip Da Costa and Fulton Mackay.

All the episodes were on YouTube a few years ago but they've been taken down.
Also i remember the closing credits to the Beachcombers but don't remember the show itself.

Jeez, I remember the beachcombers, I couldn't understand as a kid why they ate pancakes with bacon and syrup in the diner....now it's everywhere here.

Uncle Jack was the best commentator ever imo, knew billiards and snooker inside out.

Rob Walker said Tom Ford has won a 100k Range Rover. Is that true?

Yes, I just did a rewind of the telecast and went though that. I remember hearing something about a car a few minutes back from Rob. Did not concentrate on the details.

No you dont see it often
Some years ago a friend was trying the new Taom and he was leaning over the table and his chalk fell out of his pouch as he made the stroke, it rolled around the table and hit the blue!
He no longer uses a pouch!

Maybe a flap on the waistcoat (like a piece of cloth sewn outside, on the top end of the pocket) pocket to avoid the chalk from falling out on its own???

Do you prefer the old format where all pro's played in the first round, ( in other words no qualifiers ) or this format where the top 16 wait in York ?
I think i prefer this format, there was at least 4 matches going on at the same time in the old format ( was it actually as many as 8 ? ) and it didnt seem to make the tournament any more popular.

I'd prefer this format if we went back to best of 17s all the way to the final. I think best of 11 are too short for one of the biggest events on the calendar. Feels like too many other events like last week's CoC.

I think the qualifiers all have a big advantage coming in off the back of playing 2 matches and will much sharper than the seeds. I suspect we'll see a lot of seeds go out first round because of that.
