Its not alignment issues for Lisowski, its shot choice, its temperament, bottle, composure. I thought he was on the right path a few months back, he took time when needed to compose himself for crucial parts of the frame, give himself that extra thinking time. Last night, he seemed rushed, edgy, all self belief was gone. Is it any wonder, working with Ebdon and Walker who made a career out of being methodical, calculated players, its like they are trying to imprint what worked for them onto him. You can't take that out of Lisowski's game because if you do, he becomes 50% of what he's about.

As you say, where does he go now? Its not like Ebdon has experience of working with players and is a proven top coach. If you ask me he's filling Jack's head in with nothing but negatives and he's taking that into the game. Add into that some sight right coaching messing around with how he walks into the shot and lines the shot up, is it any wonder he struggled so much! He needs to work this out for himself, not be told or constantly be analysed what to do. The camera panning onto Ebdon as he writes numerous notes down, watching over Jack like he's a football manager, picking out all faults, its enough to completely destroy anyone's confidence. Its not tactics that wins a snooker match, its readying the player so they don't have to think too much when they are out there.
Exactly Cueman, I didn't know about the sight right stuff with Lee, I think that's a dangerous road to go down for someone like Jack who had a nice natural looking PSR. I've never been worried about his ability to sight the shot correctly, just look at some of the long balls he pots, they are off the scale!

Someone needs to intervene and pretty quickly, by having a word in his ear about concerning himself with technical advice. I would hope that could be his mate Judd, who knows his cue action is far from text book, but wisely hasn't tried to change it and well, he ain't doing too bad shall we say.

He's got some very critical decisions to make right now In his career, any poor decisions he makes WRT which path he takes could lead him down a wrong turn that he may never recover from.

I don't take much notice of any players when will he win this or that discussion, its too bloody hard.
Yes, that's a very good point I know, it's a healthy position numbers wise. I just don't like the look of what I'm seeing at the table of late.

Yes it happens quite often actually, probably updating scores and stuff.
        It's back online now.

Ant McGill seriously looking like another player who's taken the wrong path.... Needs to take that poxy looking cue roach fishing and throw it down stream if there's no bites.

That's a great stat Trains, ta. Will make tonight's watch a little more interesting.

Cc post 94 ( won't ) go through the failed quote thing again, that yellow McGill missed in the fourth frame that allowed O'S to make it 2-2 with a century break was just awful.
It surprises me a bit that he's managed to beat Selby and O'S at the Crucible and nearly beat Wilson in that semi final, he's stranger than Lisowski imo.

Have you ever played with one CC? (I'm assuming it's carbon fibre) I haven't, saw one a few years back in a sports shop and didn't like how it felt, just holding it, but never tried to pot a ball with one.

No I haven't, but my reasons for my last post on it were because I had been catching up on McGills match and have never seen him hit across the ball so badly on a number of shots. Just made me think, why use it? I mean if he was knocking the lights out with it, doubt I'd even mention it.

                      (Quote issue understood)

No gonna argue with that, I really rated his game and thought all he needed was to keep plugging away doing what he was doing and he could get some good results. As I said in my reply to PB some of the balls he hit across badly just made me shudder and think why have you gone down this road because I don't think it's a road you can just U turn out of easily. There's major commitment to start on that path.

                        Yeah, seems a strange choice.

BTW, I have no issues with the quotes on here, on my windows 10 pc or my android phone.

                        • Yes i switched from Edge to Chrome the other day as Bet365 wasn't loading on Edge but it isn't loading on Chrome either, probably just need to clear history on Chrome for quote to work.

                          • Milkins was on a 147, one step closer to the bonus. Too bad he missed that mid distance 15th red. A nice century nonetheless.

It's not got any better has it, I bet he will be very glad when this year is over. It's a bit crazy when you look at the long line of names ahead of him on that list, Alfie Burden, Ashley Hugill, Ken Doherty.....that's just a few of the dozens that are fairly obscure.

I'm sure he will return stronger next year. 🤞

I hope you're right, there are few better to watch when he's on his game, but I do wonder about his commitment these days. 🤔
