      Well that aged well.
That was ridiculously good, I may get pelters for this but imo snooker is in trouble when he goes. Not so much for the diehards but for those with a general or passing interest Ronnie is the only game in town and it's hard to argue with.
Let's hope Judd puts up a fight, he's a good record in finals against Ronnie.

Disappointing from Ding, if a lot of people owned a club as good as his they'd be better than him.

The first 3 frames Trump played against Cao yesterday are the standard where he has been a Ronnie beater, he will need that level again but consistently throughout their match to win.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Ronnie sinks into mediocrity tomorrow. He’s always been a bit of an up and down sort of guy. You never no what you’re going to get. Bring it on.

I liked what Alan McManus said, "give me the guy who played well yesterday" exactly what you're on about Nifty.

Don't fancy Judd's chances much when he comes up against a real challenge. You can only beat what's put in front of you, but I think his success this season is as much about a poor overall standard than him playing well.

Lol, and Ronnie has been playing only against players in form!
pull the other one, if anyone has literally won because nobody has turned up against him it's Ronnie. He had an easy run in the UK and in the Masters it was even easier. Look how poor Hawkins played when he's been one of the most consistent players this season for example?

Trump has actually played well, leading centuries this season, 3 events won on the spin. This is his 6th final this season, but yeh, it's everyone else who's rubbish but not when it comes to O'Sullivan!

Give him a break trains, 96% pot success, had a kick on a pink on the brown spot that let Ronnie in, apart from that it was all about sitting in his chair and watching one of the great performances of all time. Reminds me of the way Ronnie dealt with Waldren in The Masters a few years ago when he won 6-0 in an hour; yesterday there were two shots that shouldn't have dropped that the pockets swallowed off the far jaw but everything else was middle of the pocket and that last pink down the side cushion in the final frame was just awesome.
Like McManus said it was an 'I was there' moment and the reason why Ronnie hasn't yet quit is because he can do that and wants to find it again and again.

Neither player is playing good, Judd just making less errors. Do feel the table is playing difficult, think the old cushions maybe pinging a little bit and it's making it difficult to judge spin and bounce and making them unsettled. Maybe the big change in outdoor temp has played a factor. We've had a week of very low temps to a sudden increase into double digits. Amazing how outdoor temp can change the way a table reacts.

Dry and cold yesterday, a warm and wet front moved in today which obviously puts more moisture into the atmosphere which gets onto the cloth and the balls and means more resistance between the balls and it's kick city arizona once again.
The so called 'pundits' can't see this and blame Ronnie's Triangle chalk yet he used it last night and not a single kick for him although Ding got a bad one on a pink. Today Judd had the cue ball cleaned after Ronnie let him in after a kick and then Judd had a kick the very next shot 😂
Both Ronnie and Judd have been missing them thin as well but that could be down to a bit of practise on the table beforehand, missing thick and trying to adjust for that come match time, or it could be down to bad cueing.

Ot my abiding memory of O Sullivan was getting around three snookers in a frame against John Parrott at the Crucible in 99, I've posted about it on here before but it was the classiest pursuit of multiple snookers I've ever seen. Parrot himself said afterwards something like if this boy doesn't win a World's it will be a crime, O Sullivan did a little victorious pointing of the index finger upon winning the frame which says a lot.
