Just awful, they can't get a hold of the cue ball, is it the table, the conditions, the chalk or the pressure, it's very strange.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Definitely conditions, I spotted it this afternoon, when trump is not getting any action on the cueball, you know the conditions are bad. He suffers more than most when he can't get the white spinning because it's a big part of his technique and game. He feeds off the responsiveness of the table, when it's heavy, Trumps timing goes and he struggles.

I agree but it's all about who adapts best when it's the same for both right.

Well done Ronnie, deserved winner. Bit disappointed with Judd but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Yeh so other sessions Ronnie wins 10-3 after being 4- 0 down... Same as with Carter it's seems there is zero pressure on him, and he enjoys seeing his oppo knowing he should win but struggle to do so. I'm begining to think this is the new Ronnie game. Instead of being the best front runner the games ever seen...the new fun challenge is to become also the best winner coming from behind to win there ever been.

It's all about challenges for him, and finding new ones, that "turn him on"

For Trump with his offset address to counteract his body movement, his timing of this movement upon delivery of the cue is crucial and it goes awol when the tables are playing heavy. There were also a lot of bad contacts yesterday for both players and for Trump to get one on that p1ss easy black was rotten luck. Although he struggled at the start of the match Ronnie got a hold of the table after the first mid session interval and didn't seem fazed by it afterwards whereas Judd was struggling the whole match.

It's nothing to do with chalk, Ronnie used the same chalk saturday night when conditions outside the venue were dry and cold (low humidity) so the table wasn't affected and we all saw the result. Now if world snooker put out a contract for a better ball than aramith 1g's then there'll be an end to this bad contact lottery. With my SC's when it's damp I only have to hit the shots a little harder, I don't get all these poor contacts just the odd one due to chalk being exactly on the contact point between the cue ball and object ball, the resistance of the nap on the cloth doesn't come into it so maybe napless cloth could be another solution to the bad contacts problem, after all US 9 ball isn't as affected as snooker although the balls are bigger and heavier.

New balls or napless cloths, let's have a vote ?
