Si has clinchers disease so far today, Jones picking up the pieces, no hope for Milkins and he might not get over this season, let's hope the Samaritans aren't engaged
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair
If anyone had doubts as to why the WC is so prestigious, look no further than Jak Jones face even though he's 8-4 up.... The To and Fro of long matches is gruelling, it's a marathon of the mind , body and skillset. B07 is great for the players and TV to see different players triumph over each other in a more inconsistent manner but the WC format makes any winner give it all to break through the winning line tape!!
There is always a massive thing about who wins the close frames..... They matter soo much. The player with the most resilience takes the day, you have to keep picking yourself up off the floor no matter what happens... And even then... No guarantees... The name "The Crucible " could never be more apt!! https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dic...glish/crucible

Long may it live.
Too true, BUT the players could well do without the constant interuptions, and therefore distractions, from another table so close to theirs in the most prestigious tournament of the season. It's the tournament that makes it so, not the venue as the early rounds are just as important if one is to win the thing.
BTW the Crucible (all venues really) needs to ban mobile phones from the arena like they do at The Masters golf in Augusta in the US, hand them in on the way in and collect them on the way out, beat the queues by leaving it in the car or at home. Anyone smuggling one in to be escorted out by security and have their phones smashed to pieces with a claw hammer in front of them

Yes mate, just realised, reading my own post back this morning that it looks like I'm supporting keeping the current venue, whereas I'm more for keeping the spirit and format in which it is played.
One thing Barry Earn said that I liked was they were talking about taking the "Crucible" around the world, so it's more about the spirit of the championship.
When the WC moved to the Crucible theatre it was a big step up, that step forward is needed again now.
Mags playing some lovely snooker out there. Great to see.
Yeah, from all I've seen, he def looks the sharpest of all players. Really hope he can keep this up... we all know what he's able to do when he's on it.
There's always a little bit of tension in the air when these two meet you gotta say... usually I feel Shaun is somewhat intimidated by Stephen, so he's pumping his little fists as some kind of self-affirmative action, I guess
He's trying to annoy Maguire, probably succeeding.

Tables definitely playing tough this year, it's adding a layer of uncertainty, no player is going to feel completely confident or invincible so it's at least making matches a contest. Even if a player builds up a decent lead, they know that at any point a miss could let their opponent in and there has been a bit of tension in every match in the second round so far.
