Anyone watching Murphy/Hamilton? There was a red hanging right over the green bag so they were playing in behind a little three red cluster behind the pink, it's Hamilton who's just played a tippy tappy and the red drops in as he's walking away from the table. I couldn't hear the conversation between the two as it's that feckin noisey but they came to the agreement that it's foul four to Murphy and he put Hamilton back in and the red wasn't replaced
it's the fourth frame with the scores roughly 30 each if anyone wants to look at it, feels a bit of a strange one, I also heard the ref mention a re rack.

I have only seen an edited clip on Facebook but someone said it's because he was still touching the table as he walked round so it was still deemed to be his shot. Sounded like the ref didn't know if it was Christmas or rice pudding though so not of much help. I thought you'd just replace the red and carry on. Certainly not a re-rack unless players had already agreed it before the ball dropped.

Saw it live but couldn't work out what was going on - what's with the acoustics in the venue? Sounds like an aircraft hangar where people are constantly pushing over piles of chairs and slamming doors.

Cmon DeanH. Where are you when we need you lol. Just watched it. Strange incident but I’m sure this has happened before countless times. The red has fallen in without Hamilton going anywhere near it. The red should be replaced.
i thought I heard Murphy say he didn’t know what the rule was. Hamilton says it was a foul 4 away and Smurph to play or excercise his option to have Hamilton play again. The friggin ref didn’t volunteer an opinion but left it up to the players to decide what was to happen.

Didn't know he had played, I miss the early session. I'd love him to get going a bit, he's definitely got some talent and when he's flowing he's very nice to watch.

The only thing I can think of is, Hamilton played his shot, was walking away and put his hand on the cushion(as all us older players do, we use the table as a bit of a walking stick lol) maybe he thinks that has caused the red to drop, like if you banged into the table accidentally, I could see that being a foul, the touch didn't cause the red to drop but it's the only thing I can think of.

Ref looked out of her depth - she was adding up the scores wrong earlier, and having to correct herself.

Just like I do, in fact, but I'm not a professional referee.
