just gone back to watch it; to me the Red had stopped long enough to be beyond "momentarily"; so it should be No Foul, Red replaced, play continues as if nothing happened.

Unlike the Red that dropped a week or so ago which dropped very very soon after stopping on the edge; that should have been a scoring pot and player continues - the ref (BenW) admitted the error later.

Like buses, don't see one for years and then two (three? ) come along

So I'm watching Ding this afternoon and he plays a cannon into the reds from a red and the cue ball sticks there. Snookered on all colours apart from the black which he has a direct shot shot at although bridging over the pack of reds and needing the long spider.
Ding nominates green and has two goes at it and misses, I'm thinking he needs to be warned as he can see the black which is a ball on, his opponent Yuan points out that the black can be hit after the third miss but something is said and the ref allows Ding two more attempts.
Are Ding and the ref correct ?

That's what I thought, there was no commentary and obviously the two players and the referee spoke in chinese so I couldn't understand what was being said but it looked like the referee knew she made a mistake and the number of misses allowed started again from scratch and Ding hit the green on the fifth attempt, the second attempt after their conversation.

Never seen this before. Judd comes back after the interval, goes to break off and finds he’s got someone else’s cue lol. Wonder if the ref could have awarded the frame to Higgins? I remember the infamous incident where Maquire turned up without his chalk and ref awarded frame to Murphy.

Impressive stuff from Wakelin,but possibly more important than the high scoring, he managed to close the match out quite cooly at the end. Great performance, he reminds me a little of Dave Gilbert, got a great technique and can get really hot patches in matches, but also goes missing in action on occasions.

He played like he didn't want to be there, no focus at all, just throwing his cue in the general direction come the end.

Lisowski's currently earned a very nice 65 grand for the just over 4 months of this season so far, he'll more than likely earn well into 6 figures by season's end, effectively the way snooker is set up he's got a job for life. Should he be any different in his approach ? Why should anyone really care ?
