Those 2 have had a run to the semis in a single tournament each, which skews things a bit. Both have also gone out in the first round of about half the tournaments they've entered. Stan Moody has performed better more consistently. He's got passed the first round in 100% of tournaments (not including the league as it isn't a knockout format) and through to the third round at least in 5 out of 7.

He has surprised me, I thought he would get battered but fair play to him, right in at the deepend and looks like he can swim . I hope it works out for him, we have very little from these shores coming through.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

He's only going to be a Top 16 player if he quickens up a bit. He was warned over slow play at the UK qualifying so the referees definitely have him marked down on it. Could have done with that ref for the Allen v Hawkins match at the UK.

So the Meadowbank Sports Centre curse strikes again, Gazza beaten 4 - 2 by Long Zehuang.

Only caught the last half of the final frame, don't think I'll be watching it on catchup.

Watching Haotian v O'Connor, there's no audio on this table, they've clearly mixed in the wrong mic from another table instead, and nobody has noticed, or cares.. The Garry Wilson match had a significant delay between audio and video. Why is our sport constantly presented in such a crappy and amateurish fashion? It's truly pathetic.

Gary Wilson already out the Scottish Open - don't think many saw that one coming.

Ryan Day buzzing this afternoon, finished off McGill with 99, and two tons for 4-1. Wu Yize tonight, looking forward to that.

If I heard him right John Higgins has another new cue and this time its a Chinese one. Some sort of sponsorship deal the same as Mark Williams. JH said when he was out in China they made him a few to try out. There was one which he liked. The Chinese have been knocking on the door of the cue market for a while so maybe now this is their time to take over from the Thai's.

Higgins could play with a house cue from a nearby club and beat most players on tour - I sometimes think players attachments to their cues is over-egged but I'd imagine losing one you've had as long as he had leaves you searching for a new one that's 'perfect' even though you don't need to.

Yeh that's a really good result for him, especially as Pang's been in great form of recent.

Jack seems to have found a bit of form recently, didn't see it but 4 - 0 over Si Jiahui is a good result. Ryan Day, or the ever increasingly popular Mark Allen up next.

Just noticed Maguire's win over Kyren Wilson, good scoring from Mags, I'll have a look at that later. Hope he can keep it up.
