What happened with Eurosport’s scheduling for the final?? I had a double-birthday meal celebration to attend so set the the evening session to record. Knowing these things are prone to over-run the scheduled slot, I set the following two programmes (at the time billed as the skiing and last week’s shoot-out final) to also record.

Come this morning I skim through the final to watch the closing stages, and as expected the recording ends before the final’s been decided (I think it was 8-5). I then run the other two shows hoping to catch the conclusion, and they were as billed (skiing and last week’s shoot-out).

So where did the conclusion of the final end up??

Gonna hate myself for this but, in an all Chinese final were the most talented player is odds on with the bookies, but underperforms way below his potential..... Little hug at the end (it will be my turn soon when favoured)

I hate the fact this even enters my mind even more, but we all know why....

Neil Foulds said he was surprised that Wu never turned up for practice.... Maybe he did that somewhere else....maybe, maybe , maybe.....

I watched it on catch up today, I thought Lei dragged the focus out of Wu with his incessant toilet breaks and slow play. I don't give a rats arse about average shot times, that doesn't tell the whole story.
Fluent players are being held back by the referees directive of standing behind the player, even in the shoot out they insisted on it, and nothing is being done about slow play, yeah Moody was warned in a qualifiying match but the likes of Selby and Allen and now Lei can get away with it on the main tables and the people in the studio call it 'granite', well that's just bollocks!
The crowd looked bored to tears and I wonder how many chinese fans went to bed on time rather than stay up to see the end of this awful final.
