  • World Snooker only have themselves to blame about ageing audiences, its very similar to what i was saying earlier in this thread about WS staff using tournaments in foreign fields for paid holidays.

They all need booting and install a one year list as the qualifying criteria for ALL players including new young players, the Hamiltons, Dale's, Perry's and Stevens's have had it too good for too long.

Only the Chinese as far as i know have invested in any training facility in the UK, in Sheffield. Relegate all these old farts and see how they like it chasing the lack of facilities.

    • If Stuart isn’t already, he needs to get some help with his technique; SightRight or something similar. He’s pushing that cue through about as straight as a dog’s hind leg!

Same goes for players in my club, most people are 40+ now, whereas when I was in my 20s so were alot of others in the club. It's alot of the same faces from years ago, and not many kids anymore.
I’m not sure the game’s missing out. Leave them to their ‘real sport’ - you know, the one with 22 millionaires throwing themselves around on a huge field, pretending they’ve been shot in the face when their ankle gets tapped.

        • What a shame Zang didn’t stay to receive the audience’s appreciation of his max. I know it brought the interval but he could have least walked back to his chair for a sip of his drink to soak up the applause 🤷‍♂️

Modern era Billy, a Max gets treated like a circus act these days. Remember it’s all about the “W” and they don’t really need to be made to win a frame blah drone 💤 🥱

how about connect with the audience who pay and create prize funds by watching? 🤔

‘spose. May be a cultural thing, too.
