I know he has apologised to Zizins, but this was appalling behaviour from Selt well worthy of a hefty fine but I guess that won't happen as he's on the WPBSA Players board!! Should be thrown out of it after this. He's supposed to be someone that young players like Zizins can approach and voice concerns etc.. should be ashamed of himself, pathetic.

I was watching the Selt - Zizins match as it happened β€” what drama at the end! I wouldn’t normally watch a qualifier but I did so to see Zizins having been impressed by him in the Shootout. He’s a quirky player β€” enjoyable to watch when he gets flowing in a break. Interesting how he chalks his cue with his left hand, which is quite an unnatural thing to do.

Really funny when Zizins said Have a Merry Christmas….at least I thought so.

The thing I don't lime about it is, he was at it all the way through the match, gestures, comments, generally snarly behaviour. There's a lot of talk on here about gamesmanship through slow play, but what about gamesmanship like this? I think he was trying to put the lad off his game and he came across as a bit of a bully to me. D'ya think he would have reacted in the same way if it had been Judd or any other top player, rather than a young lad? I very much doubt it.

Re Selt, I think he benefitted from a lot of practice time years ago at the Grove facility near Romford along with O Sullivan and others, thats largely why he's a pro.

Selt was in a match with O Sullivan in the UK championship one afternoon on the BBC in 2014, he was so crap my dad called him Matt Sh!t

Yep, totally agree. And this is the same Matt Selt, that was investigated and ultimately fined for abusive private messages to an online autistic snooker fan, calling him a "mong" and a "pervert" to use his words.

Got a problem really hasn't he.

Didn't know any of that, clearly needs some anger management and an empathy booster jab by the sound of things.

Yeah, he's got form, it has to be said. He has a history of acting first, thinking later!
