How come they’re not using Rasson tables at this? Shame if they’ve lost out on the deal as I think they’re far better than the Riley / Strachan.

That’s a much needed win for McGill. I hadn’t realised how far he’d dropped down the rankings. Provisionally 56 for year end.

Is his hair receding or is it his personal choice ? I think he looks ridiculous tbh, 2015 he beat Selby at the Crucible, long time ago, if he did get relegated and failed to get back why would anyone outside his circle really care ?

Ricky Walden was hospitalised last night with suspected pancreatitis.
          Barry Hawkins gets a walkover

          Best wishes to Ricky
          Up the TSF! :snooker:

As a fellow ginger with rapidly disappearing hair, I can assure you, it probably wasnt by choice! I remember watching him at the Crucible one morning for the Junior Pot Black final against Stuart Carrington.Stuart won so clearly us gingers do not have any telepathic motivational connections!

There's a thread on this in the snooker lounge, Eurosport is closing down and merging with TNT Sports at the end of February in the UK and Ireland. Means going from a £6.99 subscription to a £30.99 subscription. Yes you do get all the other sports too but it's raw deal for those only interested in minority sports.

Does anyone know who was the first player to start rubbing their cue up and down as part of their pre-shot routine? I think Kyren was the first one I saw but it may well have been Ronnie…… or it maybe somebody completely different.

It’s a very subdued crowd for the German Masters

I think he wanted to look like Bod, and seek out Farmer Barleymow for advice.

That's quite a German thing... you try to stay politefully calm in your appreciation... in order to not disturb players at other tables.

Really good match between Kyren and Jak... that's a classic rivalry pair in the making, I feel.

Dead ringer for Bod isn't he.

I hardly remember watching Bod as a kid, better memory of Mr Benn.

Honourable mention to Bagpuss, Morph and Kevin the Kitten/ Lenny the Lion.

I don't know any particular player but sure this has been a "tick" for many many years - only that Kyren (and his coach) have made it so blatant and metronomic in his preshot routine it is very off-putting
